Real Madrid to appeal on the yellow card given to Cristiano Ronaldo for Diving in the box

Portuguese forward Cristiano Ronaldo suspended for diving in 56th minute against Rayo Vallecano on Wednesday.

Cristiano Ronaldo was booked for diving in the Rayo Vallecano's box after he was chopped down by Antonio Amaya in a 2-0 victory against Rayo Vallecano on Wednesday.

Real Madrid's manager Carlo Ancelloti plans to appeal the yellow card given to Portuguese striker for diving in the box. Referee Mario Melero Lopez unfairly cautioned Cristiano Ronaldo after he was chopped down by the Rayo Vallecano's defender Antonio Amaya in 56th minute.The yellow card resulted in suspension of Cristiano Ronaldo in the match against Eibar on Saturday, 11th April 2015.

Besides Cristiano Ronaldo suspension, James Rodriguez and Toni Kroos were also booked but the Madrid's manager Carlo wanted the yellow card booked to Cristiano Ronaldo to be rescinded. Carlo Ancelloti plans to appeal the yellow card given to the Ballon d'Or holder. Real Madrid believed that he should be given a Penalty instead of a yellow card by the referee.

Real Madrid's German midfielder Toni Kroos and Colombian Forward James Rodriguez, most probably, would not be able to play against Eibar on Saturday. They were also booked on Wednesday, 8th April 2015.

However the yellow card couldn't stop the Portuguese forward from scoring goals and Cristiano Ronaldo scored his 300th goal against Rayo Vallecano and now is the leading scorer in Liga BBVA with 36 goals. Ronaldo remained angry with the officials full time.

"I told the referee that everyone saw it was a penalty, Ancelotti said after the game."I told him it was incredible that he didn't award a penalty and that he showed Cristiano the yellow card. We will appeal."


Cristiano Ronaldo, Toni Kroos and James Rodriguez most probably will not be playing in the match against Eibar. Carlo Ancelloti's team are holding the second position in the Primera Division standings, lacking behind with four points from their leading rivals Barcelona with eight games remaining.
