Ballon d'Or ceremony in Zurich went as we guessed. Lionel Messi won Ballon d'Or over Cristiano Ronaldo and Neymar. It is a new record and ofcourse that will take some time to break as nobody else has more than three.
Lionel Messi had 41.33% of the vote, with Real Madrid star and the three times Ballon d'Or winner, Cristiano Ronaldo, had 27.76% of the vote and Neymar who was the third gained 7.86% of the vote.
Everything went on as we expected, but there is one big question left for Ballon d'Or and that is "Who did the national team captains vote for?"
The winner of the Ballon d'Or 2015 are voted by the national team captains of all member associations of FIFA. Not only them, even the coaches and one media representative from the respective countries vote for three players. The first choice is given five points, the second choice 3 points and the third choice only 1 point.
We have listed a few of the famous player who they voted for below. Not been selfish (joking), most captains have voted either for their teammates at the club or in the national team. The same was also witnessed for 2014 Ballon d'Or when Cristiano Ronaldo claimed the title of "The World Best Player of the Year (Men's)"
